Love for the Glaciers

I love glaciers, that unique shade of blue color, the intricate patterns woven by the passage of time, the way they shape entire landscapes, carving out giant mountains, and how giant they are in scale to such a little person like me. I love getting really close to them, feeling the cold air as the wind is chilled by the ice, breathing it in, and pondering how many thousands of years this great work of art has preceded my short stay on this earth. I could seriously stare for hours at a glacier, and come to think of it, I have, many times. There’s such a sacred feeling being so close to them, even sitting down and having a picnic or reading a book feels so profound next to such an ancient and massive work of art.
