Like Blue Flames

Like blue frozen flames, with a little bit of the alpenglow – the edge of the shrinking svartisen glacier under the nearly perfect lighting of the midnight sun(actually about 1:15am). If I was a better writer or maybe had more sleep I’d be able to describe how profound it feels to be this close to something so ancient and so gigantic, knowing it’s shrinking so fast, fading to merely memories of those lucky enough to see it with their own eyes.
